All Kannada associations invited to attend meet: Patil

Udupi, Dec 11 (UNI) Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Chandrashekar Patil today clarified he had extended invitation to all Kannada associations working for the cause of the language for the four-day Akhila Bharatha Kannada Sahitya Sammelan, to be held here from tomorrow.

Mr Patil told UNI here that he had invited all Kannada associations, including Kannada Rakshana Vedike, without any disparity, for all the sessions to be held in the conference.

Unfortunately, the associations working for the cause of Kannada have been split into several factions, he rued.

To a question on the Vedike's plan to launch a protest, he said it had every right to do so in a democratic set up.
