United Forum of Bank Unions stage dharna for demands

Chennai, Dec 10 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu circle of the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBUs) today staged a dharna in support of their various demands.

As many as nine constituted unions were present in the agitation, which was inaugurated by C H Venkatachalam, General Secretary, All India Bank Employees' Association.

The leaders demanded various actions, including opposing the merger of public-sector banks, expediting pension option, revision of compassionate appointments scheme, filling up of all unfilled vacancies and doing away the outsourcing.
