TDP challenges YSR to contest against Naidu in Kuppam

Hyderabad, Dec 10 (UNI) The main opposition TDP today challenged the ruling Congress party to ensure that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy resigned and contested against TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam.

Talking to newspersons here, TDP Legislature Party Secretary E Dayakar Rao took strong exception to Government Chief Whip N Kirankumar Reddy's remark that Mr Naidu would not be able to retain his Kuppam Assembly seat as the people were ''happy'' with the all round development ushered in by the Congress Government in the state.

Alleging that the Chief Whip was behaving ''cheaply'', TDP Women's wing President Roja, who was also present, challenged him to face her in an electoral battle from any constituency in Chittoor district and offered to take ''political sanyas'' if she was defeated.
