Sibu Soren not produced in court regarding Chirudih massacre case

Jamtara, Dec 10 (UNI) Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president and former union coal minister Sibu Soren was not produced in a local court today in connection with the three-decade-old Chirudih massacre.

The Chirudih massacre took place on January 23, 1975 in which 11 people were killed.

First class Additional District and Sesions Judge Arun Kumar accepted Soren's plea that he be exempted from personal appearance in the court here.

However, 23 other accused in the case were produced, sources said, adding no defence witness appeared today.

The next date for hearing has been fixed on December 17.
