Parliamentarians pay tributes to C Rajagopalachari

New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee paid floral tributes at the portrait of C Rajagopalachari- a great patriot, an acclaimed statesman and an accomplished scholar on his 128th birth anniversary in the Central Hall of Parliament House today.

Among the other dignitaries, who paid floral tributes to late Mr Rajagopalachari were Mr L K Advani, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, Mr P Chidambaram, Mr Mani Shankar Aiyar, Mr B K Handique, Mr G K Vasan all Union Ministers and member of Parliament V Narayanasamy.

The Lok Sabha secretariat released a booklet containing the profile of C Rajagopalachari brought out both in English and Hindi.

The portrait of C Rajagopalachari was unveiled in the Central Hall of Parliament by late President Dr N Sanjeeva Reddy in recognition to his services to the nation on August 21, 1978.
