Murder case registered against brother-in-law of convict

Patiala Dec 10 (UNI) Rajpura police have registered a case against the brother-in-law of a murder convict Gulab Singh, who was allegedly killied at a wedding palace at rajpura on December 8.

Gulab Singh, a former police constable, convicted by a court for killing his wife, was undergoing life imprisonment at the central jail, Patiala.

He was out on parole to attend marriage of one of his relatives.

As he was coming out of the wedding palace after attending the ceremony, the glass door of the palace shattered and he collapsed there and then.

The deceased's father Ajaib Singh had alleged that his son had been shot dead out of vengeance.

After the postmortem reports established death by gun-shot, the police registered a case against Gulab Singh's brother-in-law Jagtar Singh alias Lada' of Kharola village under section 302 of the IPC, police sources said here today.
