MP Cong demands free and fair byelection in MP

Khargone, MP, Dec 10 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Congress has urged the Central Election Observer for ensuring free and fair byelection in Khargone Lok Sabha constituency.

In a memorandum submitted to the Election Observer C B Ramarao today, state Congress President Subhash Yadav alleged that the ruling BJP was trying to influence voters by alluring them.

Raising objections to the presence of several ministers, MPs and MLAs in Khargone, he said they were attempting to affect the bypoll.

He demanded that central paramilitary forces be deployed to ensure impartial elections.

The main fight in this constituency is between Congress candidate Arun Yadav and BJP nominee and former MP Krishnamurari Moghe.
