J and K thrash Goa by an innings and 43 runs

Patiala, Dec 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir (J and K) thrashed the underdogs Goa by an innings and 43 runs on the penultimate day of the Cooch Behar Trophy (Under-19) here today at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium.

J and K thus earned five points, including a bonus point, while Goa failed to earn a point.

Goa, who were 94 for 7 in 45 overs at close of play yesterday, could not survive for long this morning and were bundled out for a meagre 113 in 54.3 overs.

For J and K, Manik Gupta returned a terrific bowling figures of 7 for 33 and was just unplayable.

Final scores: J and K 284 all out in the first innings.

Goa:128 all out in the first innings and 113 all out in the second innings.

The next match here of the Cooch Behar Trophy is between Tripura and Railways from December 14 to 17.
