New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) The foggy conditions in many parts of Northwest India today led to delay of a GoAir flight from Delhi Airport.

Though visibility levels in and around Delhi Airport remained near normal, the bad weather conditions in areas like Jammu and Kashmir, led to the GoAir Flight from New Delhi to Jammu, take off after a delay of four hours from the airport.

Bad weather and poor visibility at Jammu and Srinagar airports forced delay of GoAir flight G8-152 (Mumbai to Jammu via Delhi ) in Delhi, a GoAir spokesperson said.

''The flight was expected to take off from Delhi to Jammu at 0925 hrs. However, with no improvement in weather condition the flight G8-152 took off from Delhi to Jammu, only at 1320hrs today,''he said adding that the passengers were kept informed about the situation at regular intervals.

''Snacks and refreshments including water was also offered to the passengers at Delhi airport,''the spokesperson said.

However, visibility levels at New Delhi airport remained normal with the visibility in the morning hours remaining at 400 m which is considered normal.

The fog, however, caused traffic jams in some areas. A couple of trains scheduled to depart from the New Delhi Railway Station were also delayed in the morning, a Northern Railway spokesperson said.
