Former NCP leader and his supporters rejoin Congress

Kozhikode, Dec 10 (UNI) Former President of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Kerala Unit, and ex-minister Cyriac John, along with his many supporters, rejoined the Congress party in a function here today.

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Ramesh Chennithala, who inaugurated the function, welcomed them to the party-fold by issuing the membership.

KPCC Vice President and former Union Minister Mullappally Ramachandran, former State Minister Arayadan Mohammed and senior leader M I Shahnawaz, were among others present on the occasion.

Mr John and his followers had quit NCP recently in protest aginast the leadership's ''failure'' to take action against violators of party discipline.
