Hyderabad, Dec 10 (UNI) Junior doctors today took out a procession here demanding that the Andhra Pradesh Government promulgate an Ordinance to book murder cases against persons, who attack government doctors, nurses and paramedical staff in the state.

More than 1,000 junior doctors from all over the state participated in the procession, organised by the Junior Doctors Association (JUDA), from Sundaraiah Vignana Kendrama to Indira Park.

Talking to newspersons here, JUDA representative Raju said they organised the procession to mount pressure on the Government to promulgate the Ordinance. There other demand was to arrest Asif Nagar MLA Afsar Khan, on whom the city police had registered a murder case for attacking the junior doctors at Niloufer Hospital here on December two.

He said the Government should also provide Special Protection Force (SPF) to all government hospitals to prevent attacks on doctors by 'anti-social' elements.

The junior doctors had boycotted duty since December two, demanding the suspension of the MLA from the State Assembly and his immediate arrest. The junior doctors were also continuing their stir at Niloufer Children's Hospital as adequate security was not provided to them.
