Union Minister hold meeting with CM
Kolkata, Dec 9 (UNI) Union Minister of shipping, Road Transport and highways Thiru T R Balu hold a meeting today with the West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee on road and shipping projects in the state.
According to official sources,during the meeting,the union minister informed the chief minister about the progeress of some important projects undertook by the union ministry and expressed happiness for all out support from the state government.
The chief minister during the meeting,raised the issue of proposed Deep Sea port at a cost of Rs seven thousand core at Sagar and emphasised the need to expedite the preparatory work which is the first urgent requirement of the state.
Mr Balu agreed with Mr Bhattacharjee regarding the Deep Sea port and instructed his ministry's official to fix a meeting on December 20 with the state government to expedite the pending issues in this regard.
The chief minister, however, expressed concern following some problem facing by the NHAI in the survey work at Barasat and Ishlampur areas regarding the widening of NH 34 in the state.
