Trichy declares local holiday on Dec 20

Tiruchirapalli, Dec 9 (UNI) The Tiruchirapalli district administration today declared a local holiday on December 20 in view of 'Vaikunta Ekadasi' festival at Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple near here.

In a release here, District Collector Asish Vachani said all educational institutions and State Government offices would remain closed on the day. However, the District Treasury and sub-treasuries would function with skeletan staff.

Mr Vachani said December 22 will be a working day in stead of December 20.
