Sorceress' body recovered from septic tank

Kottayam, Dec 9 (UNI) Police today recovered the body of sorceress Karthiyaniamma (62) of Thrikodithanam near Changanacherry, who was missing since September 18, from the septic tank of a house near the Changanacherry railway station here.

Police had arrested Rajan (48), Anilkumar (35) Shiji (31) and Thajudeen (41) in connection with her murder, yesterday.

The accused allegedly took her to a house near the railway station and asked her to hand over ''enchantment details and documents (Thaliyola grandham).'' She was killed after she refused to give the ''documents'' and tried to escape. Later, they dumped her body in a septic tank, police said.
