Signature campaign to protest closing of British Library
Bhopal, Dec 9 (UNI) A week-long signature campaign would be initiated by members of British Council Library (BCL)here to protest against the decision to close the library.
The decision was taken at a review meeting in front of the library this afternoon. Apart from members, non-governmental organisations, school and university students would be included.
Mr Sikandar Malik, who started a campaign protesting the closure of the library, said more than 60 people related to medical and education sectors took part in the meeting.
The signatures would be submitted to the British High Commission and the Indian Council of Cultural Relations.
The BCL has decided to close its library in the state capital by March 31. A poster campaign would also be launched by members against the decision.
