PCC organises blood donation camps marking Sonia's birthday

Puducherry,Dec 9(UNI) The Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee celebrated the 61st birthday of AICC President and United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi by distributing sweets, organising blood donation camps and pulling the golden chariot at a temple here today.

PCC President P Shanmugham hoisted the party flag at the party office and office bearers of the party distributed sweets, while volunteers of the Sonia Gandhi Peravai and Rahul Gandhi Peravai pulled the golden chariot at the Manakkula Vinayagar temple here to mark the occasion.

The students wing of the Congress organised blood donation at the Government General hospital, where 61 volunteers donated blood.

Mr Shanmugham and Chief Minister N Rangasamy, were among others, who greeted Mrs Gandhi on the occasion.
