Pakistani militant killed, another ultra held in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 9 (UNI) A Pakistani militant was gunned down while another ultra apprehended across the Kashmir valley during the past 24 hours, an official spokesman said today.

He said the Pakistani militant, identified as Shahid, was killed in a gun-battle with security forces at Dalpathri Checknar in Ajas area of Ganderbal district last evening.

The spokesman said security forces arrested a militant, Maqsood Ahmed Sheikh, during a search operation at Azadpora Bothala village in Uri's Boniyar area of Baramulla district last evening.

One AK rifle, four magazines, 120 rounds, one pistol and nine rounds were seized from his possession, he added.
