Latin America lost its ideological moorings: Miguel Littin

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 9: Famous Chilean filmmaker Miguel Littin said though globalisation had fostered the spirit of oneness in politically unstable Latin America, it had led to the downfall of many ideologies.

Inaugurating the open forum of the 12th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) here yesterday, he, however, lashed out at globalisation and wished for a more tolerant and stable Latin America.

Mr Littin said the cinema was a divine path for him to make the world a better place to live.

He said the forum should be a platform for rich and passionate discussions on cinema and its contribution to humanity.
