Anand, Gujarat, Dec 9 (UNI) A seven-year-old girl was killed today in a bomb blast in Kashipura locality of Borsad town of Gujarat, about 25 km from here.
The blast took place when the girl was collecting garbage from a waste-heap in Kashipura area this evening, police said.
Top police officials, accompanied by bomb and dog squads, have rushed to the spot and have started detailed investigation into the blast.
Police have launched a massive search operation in the area to find out if more bombs were placed there.
Police are yet to identify the deceased as so far no complaint has been lodged by parents of a missing girl in any police station of the town.
Earlier, acting on a specific information, the Special Operation Group (SOG) of Anand district police, in a joint operation with Borsad police, raided a house in Sayyad Tekra area in Borsad town and seized six home made bombs and arrested three people in this connection early today, police sources said.
