Ayyappa devotee dies of cardiac arrest

Pathanamthitta, Dec 9 (UNI) An Ayyappa devotee, identified as Ezhumalai (54) from Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, died of cardiac arrest at Sabarimala today.

Police said he complained of chest pain while trekking up Neelimala and was rushed to Pamba Government Hospital, where he was declared dead.

This was the 11th death reported, since the beginning of 'mandalam' pilgrimage season, police added.
