Army tank overturns in Jammu, soldier killed

Jammu, Dec 9 (UNI) An Army soldier was killed when a military tank overturned during a training session near here in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, a Defence spokesman today said.

Assistant Lance Dafedar (ALD) Dandhe Prakash of the 49 Armoured Regiment was killed last evening when a tank overturned during the training in Purmundal area under the jurisdiction of Vijaypur Police Station, Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.

The Non-Commissioned Officer, with nine years of service, was a resident of Amrawati, Maharashtra.
