Serve cattle owners efficiently, Minister tells Veterinarians

Chennai, Dec 8 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Animal Husbandry Minister Geetha Jeevan today urged the veterinarians in rural areas to work towards realising the need of cattle owners and serve them.

Inaugurating an orientation seminar-cum-refresher training for the 244 newly joined veterinarians and other field veterinarians of Animal Husbandry department, she said the Government's welfare schemes should reach the farmers in the village.

''It is not possible for the Government to employ all veterinarians in their native places. The Government servants should consider their working place as their native place and serve the public without any discrimination'', she added.
