Ram Mohan Mission initiates socially beneficial projects

Kolkata, Dec 8 (UNI) The Ram Mohan Mission has announced plans to set up an Agriculture University in the eastern fringes of kolkata as a tribute to Raja Ram Mohan Roy.

Announcing the end of their nationwide tour yesterday, which promoted awareness against social ills and prejudices, Mission president Sankar Biswas told newspersons that they expected support from the state government and hoped that it would collaborate in setting up the university. The mission had already bought 105 'bigha' land, he informed.

''We have already bought the plot and are waiting for the government's permission,'' he said.
