Nitish assures rehabilitation of displaced

Bettiah, Dec 8 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today assured that those displaced following erosion of land due to strong currents of rivers in Bagha and Bettiah would be suitably rehabilitated.

Addressing a function, organised here to mark the foundation laying of the proposed Bettiah Medical College Hospital, Mr Kumar said the state government would acquire land for the rehabilitation of the displaced.

People displaced by the floods this year would also be rehabilitated on priority basis, he added.

Earlier, local people raised slogans in favour of their demands during the function.
