Karthika Brahmotsavam in Tiruchanoor temple

Tirupati, Dec 8 (UNI) Hundreds of devotees worshipped Goddess Padmavathi as the processional idols were taken out on the four mada streets on the 'Simha vahanam' on the third-day of the nine-day annual Karthika Brahmotsavam of the Tiruchanoor temple, near here, today.

Devotees offered 'aarthi' as the processional deities were taken around the mada streets.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer K V Ramanachary and joint executive officer T A P Narayana were among those participated.

Women devotees sang songs and played 'kotattam' while the men performed bhajans during the procession.

Before the procession, the unjal seva was performed in the temple premises.

Earlier in the morning, the idol of the goddess was taken on 'Muthyapu Pandri Vahanam' between 0800 hrs to 0930 hrs around the four mada streets of the temple.
