John donates Rs 10 lakh to pediatric centre
Mumbai, Dec 8 (UNI) Bollywood star John Abraham today donated Rs 10 lakh to the pediatric centre of Nanavati Hospital today.
John was here to inaugurate a new state-of-the-art Out Patient Department (OPD) centre - The Durgadevi Saraf OPD department on the hospital premises.
Speaking to reporters John said, ''I feel humble and embarassed by being called the Chief Guest as I have not done one millionth of work to make this world a better place. God has been kind to me to make money and to do good and bad films. If you can make a difference in the micro way in the long run it will be a macro difference.'' Spread over 7500 sq feet the new OPD has 27 dedicated departments for consultation diagnosis and treatment of all specialities. The OPD facilities also has several speciality departments and clinics such as juvenile diabetes, clinic cosmetology department and breast feeding, and counselling.
In addition, the hospital will provide OPD patients the facilities of another 20 investigational departments, including the new advanced centre for Radiation Oncology with its high-tech Elektra Precise Digital Linear Acceleration.
