EC team visits Gujarat tomorrow to study situation

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) A high level team, led by Chief Election Commission N Gopalaswamy, will be heading for Gujarat tomorrow to study the ground realities in the state following charges and counter charges that the political parties ''are playing on communal passions''.

The EC team will comprise two Election Commissioners-- Navin Chawla and S Y Qureshi-- along with other senior officials besides Mr Gopalaswamy.

Deputy Election Commissioner R Balakrishnan, leading a team of senior officials, is at present in Gujarat to gather more information.
