EC relaxes EPICs condition for voters identification

Gandhinagar, Dec 8 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) today relaxed its Electors Photo Identity Cards condition for identification of bonafide voters on the day of polling in Gujarat and listed 13 other documents for the purpose, besides EPICs.

All those who have not been issued EPICs by the EC, can vote by displaying 13 other documents like passport with photo, driving license, PAN card and I-card for employees of government and public sector units, an official announcement said.

The other documents are photo passbook of the bank or post office, students I-card, registered land or property documents, SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by the government, Pension papers, freedom fighter card, Handicap I-card, NREGS job card and ESI card.
