Culprits rob Rs 18 lakh cash and Ornaments worth Rs 5 lakhs

Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka, Dec 8 (UNI) In one of the greatest robberies of recent times, miscreants have looted over Rs 18 lakhs cash and Rs five lakh worth ornaments from a house in KG Mohalla in Kolar.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police B Munireddy, the robbery came to light when Heera Transports owner Mohibulla Khan, who had left along with his family members to Channagiri in Tamil Nadu three days back, returned today.

When he arrived at his house he was shocked to see that one of the windows in the house was shattered. When he entered the house he found that the cash and valuables missing.

He immediately informed the police who arrived at the spot along with sniffer dog squad. However the sniffer dogs could not do much of the work in view of the drizzling over the last couple of days.

Mr Munireddy said that a special team has been formed to nab the culprits.
