140 pedestrians challaned on day 3 of Delhi Police drive

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) Day three of the Delhi Police drive to book pedestrians for indulging in jaywalking witnessed a sharp fall in the number of those booked to just 140, from 188 yesterday, police said.

Of the 140 people challaned at six traffic intersections of the city, the maximum 55 were booked at the Moti Nagar Chowk, followed by 22 at West Point Tilak Marg, 20 each on the busy Barakhamba Outer Circle, 15 at ISBT crossing and 14 each at the Delhi Gate and Ashram Chowk crossing.

Today's figure is a sharp fall from previous day's figures.

While 188 were booked on first day of the drive on Wednesday, a total of 181 pedestrians were challaned on Thursday under the new drive by the Delhi police.
