Lucknow, Dec 7 (UNI) The disciplinary committee of the Uttar Pradesh Congress today expelled a former woman spokesperson, days after she alleged harassment at the hands of the chief spokesperson during the visit of AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi here.

Disciplinary committee chairman Ramkrishna Dwivedi said Seema Chaudhury had indulged in indiscipline by making public her allegations of harassment by chief spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh during the visit of Rahul Gandhi here on November 12.

Ms Chaudhury had recently moved a lower court with an application to lodge an FIR against Singh. She had alleged that Singh had misbehaved with her and had even 'manhandled' her as she had no valid pass to enter the state party headquarters on the visit of Mr Gandhi.

In her application, she had even alleged that Singh had tried to sexually exploit her in the recent past.

Ms Chaudhury told UNI, she would meet the AICC leaders to put across her case. She had recently written to AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandho and AICC general secretary in charge of UP affairs Digvijay Singh.
