Rape accused hanged in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 7 (UNI) A person, who allegedely raped a girl, was hanged to death by a group of armed unidentified men after a local court granted him bail in Kashmir, official sources said today.

They said 45-year-old Ghulam Nabi Shah, a resident of Wussan in Ganderbal district was abducted by a group of armed unidentified men on November 4 from his house.

He was later hanged to death, sources said, adding his body was recovered from the same area.

Shah had allegedly raped a girl three months ago, they said adding he was arrested and later lodged in central jail. However, a local court had released him on bail.
