Nine-year-old girl raped

Mumbai, Dec 7 (UNI) A nine-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified person at Vile Parle in the western suburbs yesterday.

Police said, here today, that between 1430 hours and 1530 hrs yesterday an unidentified person lured the victim under the pretext of giving money and took her to a lonely place and raped her.

Thereafter he left the victim in a semi-conscious condition at the spot and fled from the scene.

The victim regained her consciousness and came back home crying.

The victim's mother came to know about the incident and took her to Juhu Police station and lodged a complaint.

The Police has registered a case of rape and further investigation is in progress.
