Most MoUs signed in resurgent Rajasthan are fake : Gehlot

Jaipur, Dec 7 (UNI) AICC General Secretary and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today alleged that most of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs), signed during Resurgent Rajasthan investors' meet, were ''fake''.

Talking to UNI on the eve of the 4th anniversary of the Vasundhara Raje Government, Mr Gehlot said the event was organised by the government at the fag end of its tenure to mislead the people by false projections of development activities in the state.

He said infact the Raje Government had resorted to hold series of programmes marking its farewell celebrations.

The Congress state unit President CP Joshi had also made strong comments and alleged that the Government had organsied the event to favour its ''industrialist friends'' with prime lands at ''negligible prices''.

Talking to reporters here yesterday, Mr Joshi had also expressed doubts over implementation of the MoUs signed at the conclave and said ''Signing of memorandum is significant only when the projects really come up but nobody knows whether these projects will really come up''.

This government had so far signed a number of MoUs during its four - year regime but most of them did not materialise, Mr Joshi said.
