JD(U) will fair well in Gujarat polls: Nitish Kumar

Patna, Dec 7: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today claimed that JD(U) will give a commendable performance in the Gujarat Assembly elections. After addressing electoral meetings in that state, Mr Kumar told mediapersons that his party's performance would improve in comparision to 2002 polls and hoped to win more number of seats this year.

He said the party was contesting on 36 seats alone in Gujarat elections.

However, he stated that the party had managed to win two seats in the last Assembly polls in Gujarat but this time it had emerged as an influential party, specially in the tribal belts.
