IAF to showcase its fire power at Pokhran tomorrow

New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) Indian Air Force SU-30, MIG-27, Mirage 2000, Mig-21 fighter planes and helicopters will showcase their attack capabilities and ability to deliver the lethal punch tomorrow at Pokhran air ground range.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) will display it's flying skills, marksmanship of its pilots and fire power capability. Over 50 fighters, transports, helicopters and UAVs would be taking part in the display.

Defence Minister A K Antony, Defence Secretary Vijay Singh and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Fali Major will be present on the occasion.

In the display, IAF fighters will destroy targets depicting radar installation, fuel establishments of enemy in ground attack capability. The SU-30 aircraft will also be displaying its air defence strength in form of combat air patrol.

A unique feature of the display would be demonstration of carpet-bombing capability of the transport workhorse AN-32.

The Defence Minister would also pay homage at 'Vijay Stamb', a memorial raised in memory of those soldiers who laid their lives in the battle of Longewala.
