Haryana celebrates Armed Forces Flag Day

Chandigarh, Dec 7 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today urged the people to donate liberally to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund as their donations would help the war widows, war disabled and their dependent.

The Chief Minister was speaking after getting a flag by Secretary, Haryana Rajya Sainik Board, Brig (Retd) K S Budhwar and making a donation on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day here today.

The Chief Minister lauded the significant role being played by brave soldiers of Haryana in maintaining the unity and integrity of the country.

He said,''this day reminded us of our duty to look after our war widows, war disabled and dependents of those who had laid down their lives to safeguard our motherland.

Those present on the occasion included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister M L Tayal and Haryana Congress president Phool Chand Mullana and MLA Ms Geeta Bhukal.
