Bike lifters gang busted in Kashmir, two held

Srinagar, Dec 7 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have busted a gang of motorcycle lifters and arrested two people in this connection.

On December 3, Bilal Ahmed Gagroo had lodged a report with the Soura police station, stating his motorcycle had been stolen.

A case was registered and investigations taken up.

During investigations, police laid several traps and apprehended two motorcycle lifters, Javed Ahmed Najar and Shabir Ahmed Mir, both residents of Srinagar.

On questioning of the accused, police said four stolen motorcycles were seized at their instance.

Further questioning of the accused was on and some more recoveries expected in this regard, they added.
