16 employees asked to appear before special medical board

Vadodara, Dec 7 (UNI) The district election office here has issued notices to 16 state government employees, given election duty, to appear before a special medical board for check-up.

The notices were issued recently after the employees remained absent from their election duty, citing health reasons.

Official sources today said of the 16 employees, who wanted to be relieved from their election duty on health ground, only three had come forward for check-up before a panel of doctors of the SSG medical here so far.

Interestingly, the sources said all the three were found to be medically fit after a thorough check up.

The special board set up on the direction of the Election Commission, will function till counting of votes are completed on December 23.
