Three killed in accident

Dehradun, Dec 6 (UNI) Three students were crushed to death by a tourist bus in this district of Uttarakhand here today.

According to police sources, a tourist bus going to Hardwar from Rishikesh overturned while overtaking another vehicle at Shyampur near Rishikesh and crushed three school going students this morning.

The deceased were identified as Manisha, Pinki Bhandari and Rinki Bhandari. The three were students of Khairi Khurd Junior High School. Meanwhile, three others, including two women travelling in the bus, were seriously injured.

All the injured have been admitted in a local government hospital.

The local residents blocked the highway demanding compensation to the families of deceased students. Only after assurance from district administration they relented.
