T-Series signs Himesh for a three-film deal

Mumbai, Dec 6 (UNI) Playback singer Himesh Reshammiya, who made his debut as an actor with ''Aap Kaa Suroor-The Moviee, The Real Love Story'' early this year, has decided to take his role as a leading man seriously.

T-Series, whose association with the singer goes a long way, has now decided to forge stronger ties with him by producing three films that will feature Himesh in the lead.

The singer will be seen in ''Karzzzz'', a remake of the 80s Subhash Ghai blockbuster starring Rishi Kapoor. T-series has already purchased the rights of ''Karz'' from Ghai.

In an informal interaction with the media here today, Himesh said the title has been chosen because both he and Bhushan Kumar, the head honcho of T-series, are strong believers in astrology and numerology. Directed by Satish Kaushik, this film promises to go one step further than the original, Himesh added.

Himesh's second film, to be produced by T-Series, is ''Kajraare'' which will be directed by Pooja Bhatt and the third production is ''A Love Issshtory'' by John Matthew Matthan of ''Sarfarosh'' fame.

Himesh said since he considers 29 to be his lucky number, he saw to it that the 'Mahurat' of all his three films was held on November 29 in a span of 45 minutes, which once again is numerologically auspicious for him.
