RS adjourned as SP demands punishing guilty in Babri demolition

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha was today adjourned till 1200 hours as the Samajwadi Party disrupted proceedings of the House, demanding that those guilty in the demolition of the Babri Masjid be punished.

As soon as the House met for Question Hour, members of the SP stood up on their seats raising slogans against the demolition of the Babri Masjid on this day 15 years ago.

Demanding to know why those responsible for the Babri demolition had still not been punished even 15 years after the demolition, the SP members entered the well of the House.

The pleas of the Chairman Hamid Ansari to allow the Question Hour to function fell on deaf ears as the SP members, shouted slogans ''Congress BJP Bhai Bhai.'' As the uproar continued, the Chairman adjourned the House till 1200 hours.

Today is the 15th anniversary of the demolition of the Babri Masjid.
