Parliamentarians pay homage to B R Ambedkar

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari and Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today paid floral tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar on his 52nd death anniversary today.

A special function was organised in Parliament to mark the occasion. Several Union Ministers, political leaders and MPs were among those who offered floral tributes to the leader. The day is observed as Mahaparinirvan Day.

The leaders recalled Dr Ambedkar's contribution in writing the Constitution as well as his pioneering works for Dalits.

UNI
