Lalu to inaugurate Mangalore-Bangalore express on Dec 8
Mangalore, Dec 6 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad will inaugurate the much-awaited Mangalore-Bangalore Express on December 8.
The regular train service would start on the night of December eight from Yeshwantpur and December nine from Mangalore.
Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur would be the chief guest at the flagging off function, to be presided over by Minister of State for Railways R Velu.
According to officials, train schedule released by the Railways, the Mangalore-Bangalore Express (6518) would leave Mangalore Central at 1945 hrs, reach Mysore at 0405 hrs and reach Yeshwantpur at 0740 hrs. The train leaving Yeshwantpur at 2035 hrs would reach Mysore at 0010 hrs and reach Mangalore Central at 0805 hrs.
Meanwhile, according to railway sources, booking for almost all seats for the inaugural run have been reserved within two days of opening of booking on December two.
