Fortune Carnatic Express to cater to Chennai music buffs

Chennai, Dec 6 (UNI) Edible oil major Adani Wilmar's 'Fortune' refined sunflower oil has emerged as the second largest selling brand in Tamil Nadu, to commemorate which it would launch Fortune Carnatic Express during the ensuing annual Margazhi Carnatic Festival here.

The Fortune Carnatic Express would contain a fleet of eight vans with Fortune branding to transport people between various sabhas to catch up with their favourite performers.

The vans would cover about 14 sabhas, which would be hosting about 365 concerts from December nine to January eight, as part of the month-long festivities.

Talking to reporters here today, Adani Wilmar Assistant Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) Angshu Mallick said South India was a critical market for the company.

The launch of Carnatic Express was a service to the consumers for showing their loyalty to its brand. This service would take the brand closer to the people, he added.
