Ex-Panchayat Secretary convicted in bribery case

Hyderabad, Dec 6 (UNI) The Special Judge for Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) cases, Nellore, today convicted and sentenced to six months rigorous imprisonment, the former Panchayat Secretary of Balayapalli village of the district in a bribery case.

The Judge also imposed a fine of Rs 500 on Chandrasekharaiah.

The Panchayat official was arrested when he accepted Rs 700 as bribe from a complainant, an ACB release here said today.
