Entries invited for 2006 Bhartendu Harishchandra Award

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has invited entries for Bhartendu Harishchandra Award for the year 2006.

Awards will be given for the published books/manuscripts written in Hindi on any of the following subjects during the period from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006.

Journalism and Mass Communication, in which the First Prize is of Rs 35,000, Second Prize is of 25,000 and Third Prize carries Rs 20,000, and National Integration, Women's Issues and Children's Literature, all of which carry First Prize of Rs 15,000 and Second Prize of Rs 10,000.

The last date for receipt of entries in the Publications Division of the Ministry is January 31, 2008.
