Con man held for duping girls
Mysore, Dec 6 (UNI) A con man, who tricked the families of 150 girls, was arrested here.
Police today said one Ramakrishna (40) was arrested based on a complaint lodged by one Sudha of Bangalore.
In her complaint, she said that Ramakrishna had duped her after agreeing to marry her.
On interrogation, it was found that Ramakrishna had fooled over 150 families in Mysore, Shimoga, Bangalore, Belgaum and Chamarjanagara.
He used to give matrimonial advertisement in all leading dailies, stating that he was an engineer and orphan.
He approached the families who used to respond to his advertisement.
After winning the confidence of the family, he used to demand dowry and finally vanish with the money before the marriage, the police added.
