4 dead, 10 injured in road accident

Mehsana, Gujarat, Dec 6 (UNI) At least four passengers, including three women, died on the spot and ten others sustained serious injuries when their jeep dashed against a tree near Dediasan village on Mehsana-Modehra Highway early today.

According to police sources, the incident took place around 0300 hrs this morning when the driver of the jeep fell asleep while driving, resulting in the killing of four passengers.

The postmortem of the victims were performed at the Civil Hospital in Mehsana town where the injured were also admitted.

The deceased have been identified as Damore Mukesh Devram, Damore Martiben Chandubhai and Urmilaben Bansilal Meena. While the fourth victim, a young girl, was yet to be identified.
