Youth arrested for possessing fake notes worth Rs 2.75 lakh

Khagaria, Dec 5 (UNI) A Special Task Force (STF) team arrested a youth and seized fake currency worth Rs 2.75 lakh from him near Purvidhala in the district last night.

Police said here today that acting on a tip-off, the STF sleuths stopped a vehicle near Purvidhala and during search operations, fake currencies, comprising a large number of 500 rupee notes, were recovered.

Besides, two pistols with several live cartridges were also seized from him.

Investigation was on, police added.
